The Mount to Coast C1 is a high-stack road-running shoe created for the days when the kilometres keep coming.

Its dual-layer midsole places responsive CircleCELL foam directly beneath the foot, delivering energetic cushioning designed to maintain its performance across heavy mileage. A firmer rubberised EVA layer sits underneath, adding structure and preventing the 42 mm platform from feeling soft or unstable.

Despite the amount of cushioning underfoot, the C1 maintains a smooth and controlled ride. A broad base and raised sidewalls naturally centre the foot, while the rockered geometry helps move you efficiently from landing through toe-off. There is no plate forcing the transition—the shape of the shoe does the work.

Mount to Coast’s TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System separates the forefoot and midfoot adjustment. This allows you to secure each area independently or create additional space as your feet swell during longer runs and multi-day efforts.

A clean jacquard upper provides an accommodating fit without losing midfoot control. The result is a shoe that feels protective enough for recovery days and ultradistance training, yet energetic enough for steady runs and controlled tempo work.

The Mount to Coast C1 fits true to size, with a generous toe box and a more secure, sculpted midfoot. Choose your normal UK running-shoe size.

The spacious forefoot accommodates natural toe movement and swelling during long runs. TUNEDFIT lacing allows the forefoot and midfoot tension to be adjusted independently.

The fit sits toward the roomier side of true to size. If you are between sizes or have a narrow, low-volume foot, consider going half a size down. Wider feet should remain true to size.

The C1 is a new model rather than a replacement, giving Mount to Coast a proper max-cushioned road option.

Compared with the H1, it provides considerably more cushioning and stability but is focused entirely on the road. Against the ASICS Superblast 3, the C1 feels calmer, more planted and more accommodating, while the Superblast is tuned more aggressively for speed.

This is the better choice for runners who prioritise sustained comfort, predictable transitions and serious mileage over outright pace.
