• FF Blast MAX Foam
  The Novablast 5 introduces ASICS’ latest cushioning compound—FF Blast MAX—which delivers a notably softer, more responsive underfoot feel than its predecessors—like FF Blast+ ECO—thanks to its lower-density, open-cell structure.
  

• Shock absorption: 141 (heel) / 134 (forefoot)—well above the average of 127.

• Energy return: 63.6% (heel), 66.5% (forefoot), outperforming the average of 58.3%.

• Midsole softness: Extremely plush, measuring just 13 HA vs. average 20.7 HA.

• Stack & Drop
  The shoe offers a generous stack: ≈40.9 mm at the heel and 33.5 mm at the forefoot, placing it in the “maximalist” category while maintaining a lightweight build. The heel-to-toe drop is measured at around 7.4 mm, close to the claimed 8 mm.

• Rocker Geometry
  Equipped with a late, mild rocker and a refined heel bevel—shorter than in the Novablast 4—for smoother transitions from heel strike to toe-off.

Upper & Fit

• Engineered Jacquard Mesh
  Lightweight, breathable, and flexible, delivering both comfort and modern style. The upper also incorporates at least 75% recycled materials.

• Tongue Wing & Gusseted Fit
  A tongue wing design improves midfoot lockdown and reduces tongue drift, enhancing comfort and stability.

• Fit Profile
  Generally true to size, but the toe box is on the roomier side. This is great for some, but those with narrower feet may prefer adding a thicker sock for better lockdown
