Description

(Hot Product)

The Lone Peak 4 is a fresh take on Altra’s original trail shoe with several significant updates. The new upper will include the same integrated tongue as the previous version but now with static webbing for better cinching ability, a flexible strap overlay for a roomier forefoot fit and a sandpaper textured toe cap. In addition, breathability is improved by way of draining mesh in the heel and forefoot and the decoupled nature of the TrailClaw™, as well as multi-directional, carved lugs for improves traction and reduced weight. To top off this already awesome shoe the StoneGuard™ is completely updated to resemble the skeletal structure of a foot for better performance and dynamic flexibility.

Indestructible and Comfortable

I have been using the Lone Peak 4.0 since November 2018, and have clocked just under 700k in them, using them for the Addo 50 miler and 8 hour challenge (total 63k), as well as for all my training on the trails. These shoes honestly feel as if you can run forever in them without any discomfort or pain. The grip is still around 75% of what it was, demonstrating the superior strength of the outer sole. IThe upper is still in excellent knick – and I have not been kind to them! For longer distances – long hikes, ultra’s – I would recommend this 100 %. FOr something a bit more for the technical stuff, I would recommend the superior or king MT’s, although the Lone Peaks are no slouch either!

Most durable trail shoe I have ever run in. 5 star overall – lightweight, ample cushioning and super comfy. Also 5 star for style, as after 1500km of mountain running they still look like the trail shoe you bought.

Perfect Berg shoe

If you’re like me and have been looking for a proper trail shoe that will take all the Drakensberg can throw at it, look no further. Perfect for long days in the mountains. The Lone Peak is light enough that you forget it’s really there, it’s got more than enough grip (much more than previous versions) for the slick grass and rocks. It’s super comfortable even after 8hrs of ankle twisting terrain. The Lone peak is also a great light weight hiking shoe, probably not it’s inten use but it does it well.
